Crossweave Church // What We Believe
  • There is one God who exists in three persons: God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
  • The Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God that reveals God’s plan to save mankind throughout earth’s history through Jesus’ life, death and resurrection. It is also the principal source for Christian teachings and daily living.
  • Jesus is fully divine yet fully human through virgin birth, lived a sinless life, died in your place, was resurrected bodily, ascended into heaven, ministers as your high priest, and will return in person with power and glory.
  • When Jesus returns, there will be a resurrection: of the saved into everlasting life and of the lost to eternal separation from God. Those who are alive will either be reunited with God or separated from Him for eternity.
  • Man was created sinless—never to die—but fell from that condition when Adam, who represented humanity, chose to sin—miss the mark—and follow his own will instead of God’s. This resulted in death and separation from God.
  • Since you are a part of humanity, you have also been separated from God by sin and deserve the penalty of death. He offers you full pardon and the forgiveness of all your sins—past, present, and future—because Jesus Christ paid your penalty by dying your death on the cross.
  • Salvation is God’s gift to you because of what Jesus did for you on the cross. You must accept it by faith; it cannot be earned by human effort. A life of obedience is a result of, and not a means to, salvation.
  • Eternal life begins the moment you are saved. You receive God’s presence in your life through the Holy Spirit—your guarantor for eternal life—who empowers and guides you to follow Him each day.
  • You become a part of the church—God’s kingdom of followers throughout the world—to fulfill His mission of mercy and grace. It is within this community that you mature as a Christian and are prepared to do His work as a disciple.
  • You declare your salvation through baptism—a ritual symbolizing your acceptance of Christ’s death, burial and resurrection as your own. You celebrate this reality through communion—the bread symbolizing Christ’s body, and the wine His blood.
