United Evangelical Church of America Foundation // UECA BIO

The United Evangelical Church of America was birthed on February 10, 2003 as the manifestation of a vision to open a door for those who desire to do more than just talk about the Kingdom, but actually do the work of the Kingdom as servants. The driving passion behind the vision was to create a movement that would equip ministries for effectiveness through godly leadership, and the nurture of a mentoring spirit. The birth of this ministry has allowed many Jesus followers to network, build, endorse and elevate, thus spreading the gospel beyond the average means.

The United Evangelical Church of America affirms that Christ's church is the Body of believers, and that Christ is the leader of His church. The UECA is a real first century church model, enabling ALL Christians to come together for the common good that proceeds from Christ Jesus and His works. The UECA is a premiere provider of tools for apostles, prophets, evangelists, preachers, teachers and chaplains. We exist to equip, encourage, empower, elevate, educate and endorse everyone is who truly about the Kingdom of God and growing in their understanding of being a true and obedient servant of the Lord.

Founder Dr. T. Galt

Upon its inception in 2003, the UECA was given into the care of Dr. Thomas Galt. Called into ministry over 30 years prior, he heard the voice of the Lord saying to him that he must prepare and build upon the rock of faith. In the process of working with other ministries, churches and programs, Dr. Galt never gave up on that vision of God. He opened up the doors of the UECA, and with the help of Christian brothers and sisters, the vision God planted in his heart became a reality. Dr. Galt served as a motivational speaker, mentor, and biblical teacher, casting the vision of the UECA, to be open to the Spirit, led by the Spirit, be a part of the Spirit and to share all that God has given within the Spirit.

As Dr. Galt continued to hear the voice of the Lord concerning the UECA role and work, he began to network with other ministries and churches, establishing a firm foundation within those spiritual connections.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6

Through trusting in the Lord and allowing the Spirit to lead, the scope of the UECA has grown beyond what Dr. Galt initially envisioned, a testament to God's faithfulness.

In December 2011, Dr. Galt heard the voice of the Lord leading him to a new role as a church planter, motivational speaker and author. Upon hearing this new vision and knowing that God wanted the UECA ministry to be elevated, the UECA was renamed the UECA Foundation. Dr. Galt then appointed Dr. Tony R. Smith as the Senior Bishop of the UECA Foundation.

Under the leadership of Dr. Smith, the UECA Foundation has opened new doors to additional life changing programs, from ministerial training, substance abuse training (NLBI Center), addiction support groups (Second Chance Christian Advocacy & Recovery Group), UECA Women's Ministry, TVO1 CBN (The Voices of 1 Christian Broadcast Network) internet radio station, a chaplaincy department as well as the New Life Prison ministry.

A
s we look ahead, the UECA Foundation continues to submit to the Spirit, and we truly believe that God has just begun a good work in us, and He will be faithful to complete it.
