Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church // Our Beliefs

Our Message

Our message is the Bible’s message: There is one God, who created us and saves us from sin, death, and the devil. This was accomplished through Jesus Christ, who lived a perfect life in our place and died an innocent death to take away the sins of all people. He physically rose from death to declare his victory over sin and death. We are saved by grace through faith, which is a gift of the Holy Spirit. The Spirit creates that faith through the Word and the sacraments of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. According to God’s promise, we look forward to a life of eternal joy in heaven, and delight in serving the Lord and all people with love until Jesus returns.

Our Worship

Our services follow patterns of worship which have been used by Christians for centuries. Our varied patterns of worship address the needs of worshipers: the need to listen to God’s message, the need to confess sins, the need to thank and praise God, and the need to pray for ourselves and others. We celebrate the Lord’s Supper on the second and last Sundays of each month.

Our Mission Statements

Our Redeemer’s - The Apostle Paul has warned us in II Timothy 4:3-4, ‘For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.’ Therefore, our mission is to:

·         Hold to the truth of the inspired Word of God, the Bible

·         Nurture the existing members of the congregation with this truth

·         Teach our young this truth

·         Reach out to the lost with this truth through our support of foreign and domestic missions and our own local outreach efforts

·         Support this truth by practicing good stewardship, using our gifts, talents, and resources to the glory of God.

Rock of Ages - We are committed to growing in the Word and using all of our God-given abilities to carry out the Great Commission and support mission efforts.

Our Opportunities for Learning More

We offer a number of ways to learn more and grow in faith. We have a variety of Bible classes for adults and teens. We provide Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and catechism instruction for children.

Our Synod

Our congregations are members of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS), a church body which preaches the unchanging gospel of Jesus Christ in the US and around the world. We support that mission financially and with prayer. We also support several institutions which provide charity, education, and health care.
