Pastor Lee Mowery is the Senior Pastor of Northwest Baptist Church where he has served since March 1998. Pastor Mowery spent 30 years serving our country around the world as a linguist in the United States Air Force. While stationed at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in the early 1990's Lee yielded to God’s call to full-time ministry while serving as a deacon at 22nd Street Baptist Church. He was set forth in the ministry and later ordained in October 1994. After he retired from the Air Force, Pastor Mowery and his lovely wife Pamela moved to Oklahoma and Lee attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. Driving down to Fort Worth each Monday morning, living in the men's dormitory during the week and driving back home each Friday after class he graduated in record time with a degree in theology. His last semester at Southwestern, he was called as pastor of Enterprise Baptist Church in Norman, Oklahoma where he served until He was called to Northwest. Lee and Pamela have four grown children and six grandchildren.
While serving in the military, Lee also served the Lord in various capacities. He was the Director of the Christian Servicemen’s Center in San Vito, Italy, and the Assistant Director of the Christian Servicemen’s Centers in Seoul, Korea and Okinawa, Japan. Lee has served as a Sunday School teacher, worship leader, choir director, and other capacities in Baptist churches and Air Force chapels around the world. Under his leadership, the Lord has blessed Northwest Baptist Church God is moving at Northwest Baptist Church and God could be calling you to be a part of this great ministry.
