What kind of information does Neolaia Nutraceuticals collect?

We collect information (such as your name, email address, mailing address, credit card numbers), that you provide when you purchase from us. At your request, we will store that information indefinitely, or until such time as you tell us that you want your account with us closed. Your account numbers will be stored in encrypted format (unreadable without our private decryption key), separately from your name and address. If you do not ask us to store that information, you will need to provide it each time you make a purchase. 

Our NutraAnalysis provides an online self-assessment. Your answers to the NutraAnalysis, the results, and your food choices are stored, and identified with your user account. This information is not available, via the Internet, except to someone who has your log in user name and password. We recommend you do not share those with anyone. Your information will be encrypted by a unique ID and password that you choose. In the event that any information is used, it will not disclose anyone’s identify and it will only be used for the purpose of improving our product(s), services or educational purposes.  Information provided to you is derived from evidence-based, peer-reviewed clinical literature. This site is not to be utilized as a one-to-one clinical consultation, or to replace the advice and care of your healthcare professional.

Only those staff members who need access to the information you submit have this information available to them. For instance, only those who assist in the processing of your purchase, and the information systems staff responsible for maintaining NutraAnalysis may view this information. Neolaia Nutraceuticals enforces strict privacy, security and confidentiality policies on the Web site as well as with our staff in order to maintain your privacy. 

Neolaia Nutraceuticals uses outside credit card processing companies to bill services. These companies do not retain, share, store or use any personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes. 

Online tools available in NutraAnalysis portion of our site provide "tracking" capabilities for a variety of health metrics. Because of the personalized nature of the tools available, although their use is optional, it is not possible to receive the benefits of these applications without providing the appropriate information for them to work. 

How does Neolaia Nutraceuticals use my information? 

When you make a purchase from Neolaia Nutraceuticals, we use your information to process your purchase. We will also send you emails to confirm your order and may need to contact you via U.S. mail or email if we have questions regarding your order.  

We use information provided by you regarding your NutraAnalysis only to show you the results and to allow you to easily obtain them for your records. The information will not be shared with anyone else without your permission or direction, unless we are required to do so by a court of law. 

Does Neolaia Nutraceuticals share my information with third parties? 

Neolaia Nutraceuticals does not sell, trade, rent, or give away your personal information to others, unless you have checked the box stating that you would like to receive nutritional information from 3rd parties. At no time will Neolaia Nutraceuticals share your credit card or bank account information with any party other than the credit card processing companies we use to bill services. Neolaia Nutraceuticals may provide aggregate statistics about our customers, sales, traffic patterns and related site information to reputable third-party vendors, but these statistics will include no personally identifying information. Neolaia Nutraceuticals may release account information when we believe, in good faith, that such release is reasonably necessary to (i) comply with law, (ii) enforce or apply the terms of any of our user agreements or (iii) protect the rights, property or safety of Neolaia Nutraceuticals, our users or others.  

How do I change my information? 

At any time you would like to update your personal information, after providing your user name and password, you may click on the "Options" link. From there, you may click on the "Edit Profile" link. Here you will be able to change your user name, password, secret question and answer, and, if you asked us to save it, your name, address, and credit card or bank account numbers. At no time will we display your full credit card or bank account number to you. 

How do I remove my information from email, phone, and postal mailing lists? 

If you have checked the box stating that you would like to receive nutritional information from 3rd parties, you may go to the "Edit Profile" screen and uncheck that box. However, should your information have already been shared with a 3rd party, we will not be able to remove you from their mailing lists. Neolaia Nutraceuticals itself does not maintain any email, phone, or postal mailing lists. Please note that when you make a purchase, we will send you email to confirm your purchase, if you have given us your email address. 

What are cookies? How does Neolaia Nutraceuticals use cookies on its site? 

A cookie is a small data file that Web sites often store on your computer's hard drive when you visit their sites. A cookie may contain information (such as a unique user ID), that is used to track the pages of the sites you've visited. We use cookies but do not store personally identifiable information in your cookie. The cookies we use are browser-level session cookies. That means, if you close your browser, and then open it again, the cookies will no longer be available to us. Assuming your browser is functioning properly, they are deleted from your hard drive when you close your browser. 

We use cookies in order to improve your experience. When you log into Neolaia4health, your cookie helps us keep track of the fact that you are logged in. This prevents anyone else from simply going to the site and trying to access your data without first logging in as you. When you complete the NutraAnalysis, we store your answers and results in cookies so that they are available more quickly to the other pages of the site that need them. We also store your food choices in a cookie. Your log in user name and an encrypted form of your password are stored in one cookie. The other cookies do not contain any information that can be identified with you. 

You can refuse cookies by turning them off in your browser. If you turn off cookies, though, you will have to log in every time you click on a link. And, you will not be able to complete the NutraAnalysis. 

How does Neolaia Nutraceuticals make sure my order information is secure? 

Protecting your information is a priority for us. We use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to protect the security of your online purchase information. We also encrypt your password, before sending it from your browser to our server, when you log in. All information is stored in a MySQL database, which is password protected. Only our information services staff have access to that password. If we store your credit card or bank account numbers, we store them separately from your name and address, and encrypt them. We store our decryption key separate from the database. 

When taking the NutraAnalysis, you are not sending any personally identifiable information. Therefore, it is not necessary for you to use the SSL option at that time. However, if you wish to, you may. Simply use "https" rather than "http" at the beginning of the site address. 

To check the security of your connection, look at the bottom of your browser window after accessing the server. If you see an unbroken key or a closed lock (depending on your browser), then SSL is active and the server is secure. You can also double-check by looking at the URL line of your browser. When accessing a secure server, the first characters of the site address will change from "http" to "https." 

Some versions of browsers and some firewalls don't permit communication through secure servers. In that case, you won't be able to connect to the server to make a purchase. If you include your email address we will send you an email notification when your account has been created. If not, we will send notification by postal mail. Information sent over the Internet via a secure server is encrypted between your browser and the server, and the information is totally unreadable by the most proficient of hackers. 

Neolaia Nutraceuticals has an organizational commitment to protecting your privacy and security. All employees who work on this Web site are made aware of our security policies and practices through employee orientation and annual refresher training. Your personally identifiable information is secured in an isolated database with tightly restricted access. The limited number of employees authorized to view this information are authenticated prior to gaining such access.
